Cross Farm, Eastry
Cross Farm is a Grade II listed building on the edge of the village. A combination of hardwood and softwood sills had been covered with folded tin and nailed on, and the remaining sections of the windows including the sashes had deteriorated beyond the point of economical repair.
The sills were renewed on the upstairs floor with Iroko hardwood; where softwood was required, BC pine was used. All the sashes were reproduced to the original pattern using BC pine and 3mm conservation-grade glass. All the windows were fitted with full weather seals to prevent heat loss, draughts, rattles and ingress.
